Applicants for admission to the Bar in Kansas may seek temporary admission under Supreme Court Rule 718 in certain circumstances.

Applicants who meet the qualifications as stated in Supreme Court Rule 718 are encouraged to apply for the temporary practice permit when filing their application for admission to the Bar, or at any later time should the need for the permit arise.

Temporary practice permits will be processed by Attorney Admissions only after the applicant is approved. Approval includes, but is not limited to, character and fitness approval and proof of compliance with Supreme Court Rule 711.

Temporary practice permits will be emailed to the applicant once issued by the Supreme Court.
